Note on Starter: The 15 AI messages/day limit is shared across the whole company, not per person. Basic commands (clock in/out, help, connect) are never counted.

What Happens at a Limit

  • Seats / projects / tasks / teams: New creation is blocked. Existing records are not deleted.

  • AI messages (Starter): AI queries return a daily limit reached message. Resets at midnight in your company timezone.

  • Messages for Project intelligence: When the monthly allocation is exhausted, AI features, such as message compaction to surface project updates pause until the next cycle.

  • Downgrade: If you downgrade to Starter, limits apply immediately. Members over the seat cap cannot access the system until the roster is reduced.

Upgrade Steps

  1. Open Company Settings β†’ Billing / Subscription.

  2. Review current plan usage and limits.

  3. Select the target plan.

  4. Confirm the billing action.

  5. Verify new feature access in affected modules.

Common Mistakes

  • Assuming AI message limits are per user. The 15/day on Starter is a company-wide shared pool.

  • Upgrading without confirming the seat count. Growth is capped at 20 seats β€” confirm your team size before upgrading to avoid hitting the new cap quickly.

Troubleshooting

- Symptom: Upgraded but a feature still appears locked.

Likely cause: stale session, wrong company context, or role permissions.

Fix: sign out and back in, confirm you're viewing the correct company, and check that you have admin rights.
